4K^ToD:你好,我叫Yoan Merlo,我21岁,来自法国!
Q: 为什么你要取ToD这个ID?
4K^ToD:之前玩星际争霸的时候,我加入了一个叫MaSsE的Clan,里面有很多朋友,我们取了些昵称比如MaSsE-TuRbAtIoN,MaSsE-If.我选择了MasSe-ToDoNtE这个名字,它的音很象是MasToDonte.后来在2v2时我有一个队友,他一直叫我ToD,所以更换了这个更短的名字.
Q:最好跟最糟的对阵种族是哪个?为什么呢?
4K^ToD:现在最好的应该是跟Orc打,因为Human打Orc很简单,Orc曾经是我最怕的种族,但是我觉得现在Human打Orc太简单了.反而现在最糟的是打NE,我不喜欢跟NE打,NE对Human来说太强了.
Q:你被认为是世界顶尖人类高手之一,还有哪些人类玩家是你欣赏或尊敬的?
4K^ToD:是的,当然有,SK.Insomnia和WE.IGE.Sky.
Q:为什么你用WE.IGE.Sky的ID打Season4呢?
4k^ToD:因为我没有亚洲Season4的ID,Sky很大方把ID借给了我,所以我便能在亚洲战网玩了!
Q:那UD跟Orc呢?有哪些玩家你欣赏?(!!忘记问NE)
4K^ToD:UD没有..开玩笑的,我喜欢FoV,Lucifer,Susiria,FuRy,eLqua.Orc则是Zacard,Grubby,XiaOT,Lyn,BerA还有RdaM.
Q:你每天如何安排生活?
4K^ToD:起床,早餐/洗澡,然后做任何我喜欢做的事包括魔兽.但是KODE5输给Deadman后我还没玩过半场,我也不太想打.
Q:很多人觉得你KODE5会第一,但你输给了Deadman,你能告诉我们怎么了吗?
4K^ToD:就像我在我的博客中提到的,我对战NE有点头痛.实际上我相信如果某个NE能强如以前的Moon一样,或者如这次比赛中的Deadman一样,那么除了其他的NE以外几乎没有人能赢.而且这个比赛规则很糟糕,我选了两张地图赢了FoV和SoJu之后,Deadman可以选两张地图和我打,这种规则让我一点也没有想打(赢)的信心,就跟三战二胜已经先输了一场差不多,这种规则,不但很无趣而且很无力.
Q:你认为毁灭者不公平吗?那树妖跟熊猫呢?
4K^ToD:是的,我想毁灭者不应该能够从十胜石雕像中吸取魔法值,人类很难处理一堆有魔法的毁灭者...我们需要做很多的塔才能赢,真可怜.我想没有这些塔跟本不可能赢UD的顶尖高手.不只是因为这些毁灭者,UD又有速度可以打hit&run,这使得Hum很难接近UD的兵.我觉得树妖太便宜了,又跑很快,它们升级驱散几乎不花费什么,树妖的缓慢不是让你失去更多兵力,就是只能回城.熊猫也必需削弱,喷火只要花费70点魔法值,太少了,熊猫5级时喷一次花70魔法值就要用掉一张群补卷轴.
Q:WCG快来了,你有什么期许?
4K^ToD:没特别的期望,我不觉得蒙扎会比旧金山或新加坡来的有趣.这次比赛有太多NE了,所以我不清楚-,-
Q:跟台湾及大陆的玩家说几句话吧:D
4K^ToD:我希望你们在魔兽这个游戏里不管是玩或者是看都能享受到乐趣, 当然我也会找一些replays给你们欣赏,HF!

Q:How did you come up with a name like ToD?
4K^ToD:When I used to play Brood War long time ago,I joined a clan where there was alot of friends which was called MaSsE,we used to make our nicknames out of word games such as MaSsE-TuRbAtIoN or MaSsE-If which means wank or gigantic.The nickname I chosed back then is MasSe-ToDoNtE which sounds like Mastodonte being Mastodon in English.I had this teammate with whom I played the Team France 2on2 Clanwars.He kept on calling me ToD all the time,I just switched to a shorter name from time to time.
Q:What is your best and worst matchup and why?
4K^ToD:My best right now is probably Orc,because it seems pretty simple to play as Human vs Orc mainly,while it used to be my worst matchup I feel like now it's my strongest.My worst matchup right now is Nightelf,I dont enjoy playing vs Elf very much like I used to and I find them to be too powerful overall vs Human so I dont have very good results vs NE :/
Q:You are considered one of the top Human players in the world now,are there any Human players that you still look up to or respect?
4K^ToD:Yeah of course there is,I like SK.Insomnia very much aswell as WE.IGE.Sky.
Q:Why do u play WE.IGE.Sky on bnet season 4?
4K^ToD:Because I didnt have an ID to play the Season4 on Kalimdor,so Sky kindly loaned me his ID just so i could play it.
Q:What about the other races?Who are the players you respect that play Undead, Orcs?
4K^ToD:I do not respect any Undead player...Just kidding,I like FoV,Lucifer,Susiria,FuRy,eLqua the most with Undead and my favorite Orcs are Zacard,Grubby,xiaOt,Lyn,BerA and RdaM.
Q:What is your schedule everyday?
4K^ToD:Wake up, Breakfast/Shower,then do whatever I like which sometimes include some wc3 and sometimes not.Right now I havent played a game since I lost to Deadman in Kode5 Finals and I dont miss playing...So I guess I dont have to.
Q:Everybody thought that you were gonna win KODE5 but u lost to Deadman can u tell us what happend to that series?
4K^ToD:Like I mentioned in my blog earlier, I've been having trouble with Elf lately.I actually believe that if an elf can play flawlessly like Moon used to,or Deadman did in this tournament,nobody can beat him except another Elf.Since the rules of the tournament we're so bad too I got to pick 2 maps vs FoV and SoJu and won both times on each of the maps I chosed.Deadman could pick 2 maps vs me and it kinda killed my "will to fight" at this point because not only it's not fun to play vs somebody who starts with 1/0 vs you ,it's also very unfair.I cannot think of any single big tournament that has perfect rules and tournament system.And by perfect rules i mean bo3 for the whole tournament,first groupstages followed by a double bracket,and that's a real pity!
Q:Do u think destroyers are imba? how bout dryads and panda?
4K^ToD:Yeah,I think destroyers shouldnt be allowed to absorb mana from statues,an attack with alot of destroyers with mana is very hard to handle as a Human ...We need to make alot of towers in order to win which is a real pity.I think it's IMPOSSIBLE to win without towers against a top Undead player.Not only because of the destroyers but also because of the hit&run with unholy aura which makes the Undead army really hard to catch.Dryads are too costless in my opinion,they move really fast,their dispel cost almost nothing and if you lose a fight against an Elf who has Dryads you have the choice between losing half your army or tping out because of the poison.Panda also has to be nerfed,70 mana for Breath of fire is way too cheap,when it hits level 5 it's like 1 heal scroll needed per 70 mana used.
Q:What are your expectations in the coming WCG finals in Italy?
4K^ToD:No particular expectations,I dont think Monza is going to be half as fun as San Francisco or Singapore was.Regarding the tournament,there are alot of Elves..so I dont really know -,-
